We are a well-established pre-school with more than 20 years’ experience in providing pre-school care and education in the local community. Our inclusive setting is situated at Powick Parish Hall, next door to Powick Primary School on the Malvern Road.

We believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life. We support them to fulfil their potential by basing our teaching around their interests and following their lead.

Our aim is to provide a safe, caring, secure and stimulating environment where children are nurtured to become resilient, curious and independent learners.

We Offer

Using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as a framework opportunities are presented ensuring all children's abilities and interests are fully addressed.

Open ended resources are provided to spark children's imaginations and allow them to develop their critical thinking skills. We have a large enclosed, well equipped garden and enjoy using the local environment for our Funky Forest sessions.

Children have the opportunity to bake and express themselves through a wide choice of creative activities.

We are a term time only setting with sessions available Monday to Friday 9am-3pm, 9am-12pm or 9am-1pm. We accept 2 year old funding and 15-30 hour funding for 3 and 4 year olds depending on eligibility. Our hourly rate outside of funded hours is £6.00 per hour, rising to £6.50 per hour in April 2024.

Our Team

We have a great team at Powick Pre-School who are all committed to providing excellent standards of care. Our staff are all level 3 qualified as a minimum, hold paediatric emergency first aid qualifications and safeguarding training.

In addition all staff regularly undertake training to continually develop our skills and knowledge.

Birth to Five Matters

Birth to 5 Matters provides guidance, drawing on previous guidance for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which has been updated in order to reflect recent research, to meet the needs of practitioners, to respond to current issues in society, to meet the needs of children today and to lay a strong foundation for their futures.
